I was very fortunate to have been invited by Tasty Grapes to their second wine and food pairing event: wine and sushi at the Odessa Club. I enjoyed their first event: the wine and cheese pairing evening and was intrigued by the thought of sushi and wine.
I love sushi and I love drinking wine but I’ve never had them together before that evening. Eoin and Richard from Tasty Grapes teamed up with Oishii Sushi for their paired wine tasting. Richard is the wine specialist and talked us through each wine, while Eoin told us about the pairing choice for each sushi. We tasted 7 different wines and sushi.
We were all greeted with a glass or two of prosecco on arrival which was a nice start to the evening.

Tasty Grapes’ next event will be wine and chocolate pairing. It will take place at the Odessa Club on the 4th of April in collaboration with Cocoa Atelier who will be providing their delicious chocolates.
P.S. While I was invited to this evening free of charge, I have never been asked to review the event and the views expressed above are entirely my own.
